| Description | A person shall not import a rough diamond without an import licence issued under this Act and a Kimberley Process Certificate issued by the Exporting Authority. A person shall not export or import a diamond from a person who or a country of origin which is not a participant in the Kimberly Process Certification Scheme. |
| Comments | A person who contravenes the Diamond Act commits an offence and shall on conviction be liable to imprisonment for a period not exceeding ten (10) years or to a fine not exceeding one hundred thousand (El00, 000.00) Emalangeni or both. |
