Process Steps

Step 1
|
Pre-process requirements
Prior to making application,
i. The Trader must make payment at the Department or purchase fiscal stamp at the post office. This is attached to the application, but is not mandatory and can be paid any time before collection of issued permit (see step 4).

Step 2
|
The Trader visits the office of the Department of Veterinary and Livestock, or for live animals the Public Health Office.
|

| Step 3 |
The applicant interviews with the veterinary officer, providing all necessary details of the intended import and any accompanying documents. |

| Step 4 |
The Issuing Department processes the application, and with all correct issues the Veterinary drugs and medicinal substances Import Permit with conditions stipulated. |

| Step 5 |
If the Trader did not purchase and fix fiscal stamps to the application prior to submission as evidence of fees paid, they must make payment at the department's cashier and present receipt to collect the permit. |
| Step 6 |
The applicant receives the Veterinary drugs and medicinal substances import permit and may proceed with the importing of the products in accordance to customs formalities and subject to compliance with relevant import requirements, as stipulated on import permit |
