The Fixation Of Liquid Milk Prices Regulations, 1972
(Under section 24 of the Act) Date of commencement: 1st February, 1972.
Citation and commencement.
- These regulations may be cited as the Fixation of Liquid Milk Prices Regulations, 1972, and shall come into force as from 1st February, 1972.
Minimum price to be paid to a producer by a milk processor.
- The price to be paid by a milk processor including a pasteuriser of milk to a milk producer for fresh milk delivered by him to such processor shall be not less than 45 cents per gallon (or 4.5 litres). (Amended L.N. 41/1972.)
Minimum price to be paid to a producer by a milk purveyor.
- The price to be paid by purveyors of liquid milk for fresh milk delivered to them by producers, importers or pasteurisers of milk shall be not more than 18 cents per litre or 9 cents per half litre. (Amended L.N. 41/1972.)
Maximum price for the sale of liquid milk.
- The maximum selling price of liquid milk by dairies, milk shops and milk purveyors to the public shall be 22 cents per litre or 11 cents per half litre. (Amended L.N. 32/1972.)
